The All Progressives Congress’ gubernatorial candidate for Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly called “Yayi,” has announced that the party stands no chance of facing any opposition from any political party in the forthcoming 2027 gubernatorial elections, stating that the possible opposition present in the state at the moment is “partyless.” Senator Adeola made this announcement at Ake Palace Ground, Ake, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, at an APC interfaith prayer and praise concert held in respect of the 2027 election.

Senator Solomon expressed that he strongly believes the APC would emerge victorious without having to struggle. He further said that parties that were supposed to be strong opposition to the APC were finding it difficult to resolve internal problems they had ahead of the 2027 elections; hence, his conviction that they would emerge victorious effortlessly. The party’s expected conquest would begin with the presidential elections scheduled for 16th January 2027 and then proceed to gubernatorial and National Assembly elections in Ogun State. According to him, he said there will be no contenders because they are all partyless. He said the opposing parties are all running helter-skelter to make amends in different areas where they have defaulted.
The governorship candidate said that God has spoken to him that they would be granted victory without struggle, that God will grant them victory on the 16th of January, and that God will also support him to become the 17th executive governor of Ogun State, with all 26 House of Assembly members being APC. The senator stated that he was confident in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu being able to secure re-election and that those bidding for the National Assembly seat from Ogun State under APC would emerge victorious. He encouraged party members to remain dedicated to all the party’s political activities and not be discouraged.
The present governor of Ogun State, Governor Dapo Abiodun, who was also present at the event, said that the prayer gathering was a chance for members of the All Progressives Congress to seek divine guidance and commit their 2027 journey to the hands of God. Senator Solomon said that, according to the prophetic declaration of Pastor TJ Kalejaiye, “God will give us victory and clear our path without a fight,” he said. He said there will be no contesting with the APC candidates in the Senate, governorship, or state House of Assembly because God will grant them victory without a fight. He said that all the prayers that have been offered and all that has been said by the Imams, pastors, and bishops, by the special grace of God, will all be answered. He said that come 2027, they will emerge winners again against all odds.
